St George Ferona Church
This Roman Catholic Church is located in Edapplly, one of the oldest church in Kerala. The land for this church is donated to the church by the then Raja of Edappally.This was built in AD 594. Here also the deity is very popular known for his powers of Snakes.
On May month of every year nine day festival is celebrated. The main offerings are Chickens and eggs. These items are auctioned during the festival season. The devotees buy as a Nercha (offerings) which they cook at the church premises. The festival starts on 23rd of April. On 25th April the holy flag has been hoists with complete ceremoniously. On 4th may the holy idol of the deity was taken out by a grand procession and the gathering throw pori and beetle leaves as an offerings. The whole premises convert in a commercial venue with tents and pandals
