MUNNAR HILL STATION
Munnar is a beautiful getaway landscaped with tea plantations, hills, lakes, forests and winding walks. Located at an altitude of 1,829 m, it is home to South India's
highest peak called Anamudi, standing 2,695 m tall was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make Munnar a popular resort town. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands is the 'Neelakurinji'. Pastoral greens ribboned with winding hill roads, flanked by tall hill trees take you to  an enchanting hill station in serene Kerala, South India. This spectacular world of hill greens happens to be one of the most important tea producers in Kerala, South India. Munnar lies at the conflux of three hill rivers Nallathanni, Kundala and Muththirapusha.  More than 30 tea gardens lies in the midst of wild forests steeped in fragrant aromas of pepper and cardamom plantations in Munnar, Kerala, and South India. Famous for the Neelkurinji blossom that carpets dense greens in shades of blue once in 12 years, Munnar is definitely an exotic hill station. In fact Munnar was a popular summer holiday resort during British colonial rule in India. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India - Anamudi, which towers over 2695 m. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking. The high ranges of Munnar were earlier known as Kannan Devan Hills,named after a certain Kannan Devan,who had been land lord in the Anchanad Valley on the eastern side of the district. The main cultivation crops in Munnar are Tea and Coffee.

 It receives heavy rain during the June to SeptemberMunnar is one of the most beautiful hill stations of Kerala. Nature blossoms and thrives in full form in Munnar.
